Our Streets Collective
What we do
These are some of the ways we show up for our friends and neighbors during crisis. Reach out to us today for requests related to these services by visiting our contact page.
-
Do you need survival supplies like tents, sleeping bags, clothes, shoes, batteries, flashlights or other supplies? We free-source items like these and fundraise within the community to get you what you need. Let us know how we can support you here or meet up with us for immediate needs.
-
We are members of the outreach community and can access daily information about shelter vacancies. Call Allegheny Link for long-term shelter at 1.866.730.2368, then get in touch with us.
-
One of the most difficult parts of homelessness is the lack of connection. We love you, and we want to remind friends and neighbors like you that you are valued. We do this by helping to build your community relationships and expand your social and resource networks. Come join us at the local National Union of the Homeless meetings every Wednesday and Saturday.
-
Need someone to be with you at a court appearance? Trying to connect with a loved one living at Allegheny County Jail? Need other court or jail support or advocacy? Want to tell YOUR story? Contact us.
-
Don’t have cash or insurance? Are you more comfortable outside than in a doctor’s office? Message us to connect with free Street Therapy or text "help" to 1-844-779-6749 if you're in crisis.
-
Looking for hot meals or free groceries? Check out this resource or message us to help you find free groceries or hot food.
-
Meet up with us or get in touch to request free safer smoking and safer use supplies, and to get connected with other health resources, including free wound care kits.
Who we are
We’re your neighbors and friends, and mutual aid enthusiasts. Individually, we are outreach and social justice leaders working to create solidarity among the poor and unhoused in order to liberate us all from the exploitation of capitalism. Together, we’re your network of resource and community connections.
Whose streets are these?
Our streets.
